September -
Fall classes for Beginners and Advanced students started
in September. Call the Church for details or to enroll.
October 26 -  We will be celebrating the Church's Anniversary by inviting everyone to a potluck dinner immediately after Church services. Can't wait to see you there and don't forget to bring your favorite dish. November 23 -  There is a lot to be thankful for so start thinking about Thanksgiving. Yes, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. We need good cooks to bring their favorite holiday dishes and deserts. Start thinking ahead. We can't wait to try your wonderful creations. December 24 -  Join us for Christmas Eve Services and bring your favorite holiday goodies to share after services. Patti Smith, one of our dearest members, has asked for donations of general household items for the Brevard NAMI-Space Coast organization. It is an affiliate of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). The organization helps individuals with mental illness to become functioning independent and productive members of our community. The organization assists these individuals in finding inexpensive housing and has a need for anything from towels, sheets, bedspreads, beds, dressers, tables, lamps, coffee pots, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, etc. They can call Patti Smith at (321)453-4462 if they have anything to donate. She will be glad to come and pick up the donations and transport them to the NAMI-Space Coast office. Patti and the NAMI organization thanks you. Needed: More volunteers for the Sparkle Team. Needed: Greeters to greet new attendees to the Church. Reminder: You can still sign up for Beginning and Advanced classes. Sign up sheets are located next to the hymnals. If there are any events you would like to share in upcoming newsletters, please let us know at the Church or email me at IslandsofLight |

We have had some wonderful church events since the last edition.
We celebrated Mothers day in May and Father's day in June by handing
roses for the Mothers, and USA Flag pins for the Fathers. Pat Krause was
kind enough to donate the pins. We had some of our sunday school children
go around to each person and handing them out them out. The Mothers
and father's in our lives are our directive thoughts and
have a very big influence in our lives. Being directive puts motion
toward our goals in life, without it we would be going in circles and
never getting anything done.
Everyone also celebrated a wonderful 4th of July weekend. It was nice
to experience the long weekend with the exciting firework and patriotic
displays around the county. Freedom was the tone and we all have the
ability to use our minds freely. When we make wise choices and intuitively
know that it is the best choice for the situation, good things happen.
Learn to recognize those good feelings when making decisions and good
will follow you everywhere you go.

The following Affirmations come from Silent
Unity's Magazine the Daily Word.
The love of God continually flows through me, restoring
me to wholeness.
When one tuning fork is struck near another one, the second tuning fork begins to vibrate at the same frequency as the first one. As I pray, I align my thoughts with the healing vibration of God's love. My act of prayer creates a powerful healing frequency that resonates within my body. As I focus on the divine love that created me, every cell of my body responds to the rhythm of healing. I feel God's love moving through me to renew and strengthen my body. I affirm that God is the one power in the universe, and I know all is well within my body. Thanks again to Silent Unity's Magazine the Daily Word.
Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your
own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.
Carl Gustav Jung
