Dr. Joyce has been our minister, counselor and guide for many years now. She has a Doctor of Divinity in Metaphysics and founded Christ Church of Positive Living in 1978. In the early days she held church services out of her home until she was able to borrow public space for regular Sunday services. As the congregation grew she was able to rent office space to continue the ministry. Eventually she moved the Church to the location on Merritt Island, where we all enjoy our worship services today.

Dr. Joyce's goal today is to teach us how to use our minds so that we may live in peace and harmony with all individuals in our world. Guided by Spirit, she teaches us the Universal truth and the Law of Cause and Effect. In a previous interview, Dr. Joyce describes her teaching goals.
I teach the basic principles of Science of Mind. All people of any religion can use the principles of mind, and it doesn't interfere with their religious faith. Students are excited about learning this philosophy. Enthusiasm runs high when they realize the personal factor involved in the creation of their experiences.
The first and most important thing students must learn in order to change the undesired aspects in their life is the Law of Cause and Effect. Too many times they have been fighting against the effects in their life when they should be working to eliminate the causes. They wipe away an undesired effect only to see a similar effect pop up in its place. I teach them that changes in their consciousness will bring about the desired effects. All they have to do is learn to plant the right seeds in their consciousness in order to reap the benefits of life.
